MAKER Design
We believe design has the ability to improve the lives and businesses of our clients. For us the process of making architecture requires collaboration between our clients, our consultants and contractors. This collaborative approach keeps communication open and direct. Our goal is to make timeless architecture and lead your team to deliver projects that exceed your expectations.
MAKER Process
Design begins with clarifying project requirements, site constraints and project budgets. Once we have established the design challenges we begin our initial conceptual work that defines the projects program and general square footages with adjacencies. With the approval of the conceptual design we begin modeling the project in our BIM software. This allows us to quickly develop 3D images, building sections and elevations so that we can begin to understand the complexities of the project early in the schedule.
Throughout the design process and throughout construction we maintain this model and publish it to our client, consultants, and contractors; allowing us to coordinate and communicate the design details with team.
MAKER Sustainable Practice
We believe that green practices and sustainability are part of our responsibility to deliver the best design. On each project we identify potential strategies, systems and practices that could be employed. We then work with our client and project team to consider what systems and strategies can be pursued that meet our clients goals and budget. We work closely through site design, system selection and detailing to meet these goals.
